Christina Tapia

Geophysicist

Christina Tapia came to Arena Energy in 2022, bringing with her two decades of experience as a processing geophysicist and project manager in the energy sector. She oversees and manages the company’s seismic processing projects, creating a collaborative environment between geoscientists and contractors to solve complex problems related to imaging the subsurface; and engaging with the subsurface team to understand drilling objectives and imaging challenges. Prior to joining Arena, over the course of twenty years she held a progression of geophysical processing roles at Exxonmobil Upstream Integrated Solutions, developing deep expertise in global project management, seismic data processing, and the exploration of basins across deepwater Gulf of Mexico and Latin America. She earned an MS in geophysics from the University of Texas at El Paso and a BS in geology/physics-mathematics from Brown University.
