In 2008 the Arena Foundation was established to give back to the community, and in particular to those organizations in which Arena employees have been actively involved.
Arena Energy is a privately-held company located in The Woodlands, Texas, with a current staff of sixty-two employees. Arena was formed in 1999 to pursue oil and gas development and lower-risk exploration drilling opportunities on the Gulf of Mexico shelf. The founders of the company and all of the key technical employees have worked nearly their entire careers on development projects in the Gulf of Mexico. Our talented staff includes six geoscientists and fourteen engineers distributed among the disciplines of reservoir, drilling, production, and construction engineering.
Our expertise at Arena is in the exploitation of existing productive Gulf of Mexico fields through integrated geophysical, geological, and engineering evaluations. Our primary business strategy has been to internally generate drilling opportunities and to cause these ideas to be drilled. Our ability to strip out unnecessary costs while maintaining an appropriate focus on safety and environment has allowed us to profitably extend the life of older Gulf of Mexico assets. Our unique entrepreneurial environment and opportunistic approach motivates our small staff to achieve superior results in a very mature basin.
In 2002, Arena began operating through its affiliated company, Arena Offshore (AOL), which now has offices in The Woodlands, Texas and Lafayette, Louisiana. Arena Offshore has built a staff of professionals that is among the best in the Gulf of Mexico. AOL’s expertise and consistent track record of efficiency have produced a key competitive advantage for the company.
